What we have here
What we have here is a picture of a 12.5” S.S.Stewart silverspun banjo rim from the first year his factory made banjos. I will have more stories about this rim and banjo later. What I’m excited about today is that after 9 years of searching I have finally found a supplier for not only the correct length, but also the correct kind of nickel and the correct dimensions to make bigger silverspun rims. Until now I’ve only offered 11” and 11.5” silverspuns. If this new stuff I ordered works, I can make 12” also. I even have a form kicking around here for making 12.5” rims….!!!
